Joints and Seams

Unlike other surface materials that have length limitations, there are no seams in a single run of a wood counter top. The only exception to this is when restricted access to the residence makes a seam unavoidable.

The grain direction of wood is a natural part of the design and layout of a wood countertop. Below are the common joint and seam options used in corners of perimeter tops (tops that run along the walls around a kitchen).
